The Pencil Test, Renton

I've been here twice, once with an appointment and one walk in. Even without an appointment I was really satisfied with the level of service given. After hearing some horror stories about bra fittings in general I was a little worried about shopping in person, but the staff are super friendly and helpful! I could tell that they were all really knowledgeable about proper fitting, which is something that's unfortunately rare even in shops with extended sizing.

The selection is also incredible. I think one employee said they have about 14,000 models there. I'm definitely not used to seeing SO many bras in my size but it was fun trying them all on.

I am originally from the midwest and learned the importance of an expert fitting after a major department store fitter put me in the wrong size. I couldn't understand why my new bra hurt. I found a small, woman owned shop in Kansas, much like this one, and my life literally was transformed when I was fitted properly. After moving to Washington. I wanted to be refitted after a weight gain and also wanted to show two friends who had never been fitted how transforming it is to wear the correct size. The Pencil Test was a magical find. Stores like this are few and far between. Holly worked with all three of us to make sure we were fitted properly. She is kind, down to earth and did an amazing job for us. My friend literally just texted as I am writing this to tell me how wonderful she feels today as she is wearing the correct size bra. I can't stress enough how life changing it can be. Thank you to Holly and to the delightful two ladies who helped us complete our purchases. Five stars is not enough.

Both my fitting appointment and my shopping experience were excellent. It was my first time bra shopping since before having a baby (approx 2 years) and obvious changes to my body and breasts. Vanessa sized me by sight (impressive!) and was so courteous, considerate and kind answering my questions and helping me find just the right size. She provided me with options and asked questions to narrow my preferences so the experience felt tailored and personal. Such a relief compared to how overwhelmed I know I would have felt on my own. I was also able to find a couple of things on the sale rack, so I felt really pleased with my purchase to price ratio!

I’m so grateful for this bra fitting. It has take me nearly 36 years to find a bra that fights me properly - I appreciate the knowledge, expertise, sensitivity and compassion that went into this appointment. I can’t imagine shopping for bras anywhere else. I’m officially a lifetime customer.

Savannah was amazing and SO knowledgeable. She helped me find the best swimsuit fit I’ve ever had and knew exactly what would work and what wouldn’t, which brands would be best for my needs, and how to adjust the straps for a perfect fit. I love this store, and expert salespeople like Savannah are a big reason why!!

Savannah was awesome (!!!!) and very patient. She knew just the right bras for me to try on--ones that I wouldn't have picked on my own. She worked with me for nearly 2 hours finding different types of bras for my total bra makeover. Sport, t-shirt, work, and comfort bras--I splurged--well, because I really needed to. I love that all their bras are under $100, and the attention from the staff was exemplary. I drove up from Tacoma, and am so grateful for this store. I worked mostly with Savannah, but the woman who patiently rung up my purchases (removing, then putting back some bras as I tweaked my budget) was equally joyful and patient. This is THE store to go to for intimates for those who wear tough to buy sizes. I now have a new capsule bra wardrobe that I will keep building on. THANK YOU!
